There are a good variety of levels in the game and some of them are actually quite challenging (I can't tell you how many times I fell in the haunted house where you have to do multiple climbs with Fred!)Īs many collectors know, this gem was only released to the rental market. You can store one item in your inventory- many of these items being weapons. Each character has his own unique abilities- Fred has the power to charge his cl ub and climb up rocks while Barney has the power to climb ropes and shoot a slingshot. The game allows you to switch between Fred and Barn at any time which is truly remarkable for a NES game. The game regularly sells for over 150 dollars on Ebay- and a complete in box copy would likely fetch upward of 750 dollars! Protip: If you can find this game at a garage sale you've struck gold! :)īut aside from being a collector's item, the game shines in term of being a unique and challenging platformer.
